Raymond Janssen is a Dutch pianist and conductor .

He studied piano and song accompaniment with Ulla Graf at the Cologne University of Music . In further studies at the Conservatoire Nationale in Paris , he was particularly concerned with the interpretation of the French song repertoire. He was a master student of John Blot . He also studied choral and orchestral conducting at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf ; his teacher here was Wolfgang Trommer . Master classes and A. with Bruno Leonardo Gelber , Ralf Gothóni , Kurt Moll and Sarah Walker completed his training.

As a constant piano accompanist for Ileana Cotrubaș , Gail Gilmore , Eugene Holmes and Janice Baird , he is at home on all major international stages. He accompanied Gail Gilmore on her concert tour through Brazil and also gave concerts at the Teatro Amazonas in Manaus and in Rio de Janeiro .

Both as a pianist and as a soloist, Raymond Janssen is a welcome guest at European festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival or the music festivals in Ljubljana and Reykjavík. His lively concert activity took him to the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt , the Meistersingerhalle in Nuremberg , the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Kaisersaal in Würzburg as well as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Teatro Filharmonico in Verona . Various productions have also taken him to the State Opera Constanța and the Filarmonica Banatul Timișoara .

He was heard in numerous live concerts with Hessischer Rundfunk, Westdeutscher Rundfunk and Südwestrundfunk, as well as in the Netherlands as a soloist with AVRO with Robert Schumann's Sonata in G minor.

In addition, from 1991 to 2010 he directed the “Collegium Musicum” Jülich and the choir of the KHG Aachen . Until the institute closed in 2007, Raymond Janssen was a lecturer in orchestral conducting, accompaniment and piano at the Catholic University for Church Music St. Gregorius in Aachen.

His opera collage "Leporello" , which he premiered at the Maastricht Conservatorium , achieved great national recognition because of its trend-setting concept as an "innovative form of music theater".

Raymond Janssen is the initiator and artistic director of Cadenza European Art Productions.
