tax evasion
On 17 January 2008 Kalla was the district court sentenced Bochum to a prison term of one year and eight months, the parole was suspended. The court found him guilty of attempted and consummated tax evasion . Kalla had admitted in the process that he had received 640,000 euros from VfL Bochum between 2002 and 2004 , which he did not pay tax on. According to Kallas, the money was declared as a bonus for a player's agent. The court found that this contract was just a sham contract to cover up additional payments (" black money ").
In connection with this incident, the public prosecutor's office is also investigating VfL employees.
