Rebecca Alleway
Rebecca Alleway is a production designer and art director .
Life
Alleway studied at the Wimbledon School of Art at the University of the Arts London and began her career on the film staff in 1994 in the outdoor prop in the comedy film A Feast at Midnight with Christopher Lee and Edward Fox . After a few more work in the outdoor prop, she switched to production design in the late 1990s and worked on film productions such as Still Crazy and Was Mädchen Want .
For the film drama The Duchess , she and Michael Carlin were nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design in 2009, but this year the award went to The Strange Case of Benjamin Button . Alleway was also nominated for the Art Directors Guild's 2013 Excellence in Production Design Award for her work on Cloud Atlas . Together with Jim Clay , she was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award in 2018 for the crime film Murder on the Orient Express .
