Reblin is a district of the municipality of Herscheid in the Märkisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia .

location

The street village in the Ebbegebirge nature park is a good two kilometers south of the center of Herscheid in the open valley of the Oester , which is still called Ebbebach here in the upper reaches and feeds the Oestertalsperre a few kilometers further east . To the west of Reblin are the Fürwigge and Versetalsperre . The wooded main ridge of the Ebbegebirge rises a good two kilometers to the south with the 663.3 m high Nordhelle , on which the WDR transmission tower Nordhelle is located. To the northwest lies the 584.6 m high Nümmert .

history

The place is probably mentioned for the first time in a document from 1410; it says that Johann von Plettenberg sold a farm in "Reblinghaven" to Count Engelbert von der Mark - but without mentioning the time of this transaction. The settlement belonged to the "Ebb farmer" in the southern area of ​​the local community Herscheid.

A few clearly recognizable pings still bear witness to the mining of ores .

Infrastructure

Reblin is located at the intersection of several country roads, which, like the bus lines that run on it (rather sporadically), establish connections to the core town and on to Lüdenscheid and Werdohl as well as to Plettenberg and Valbert / Meinerzhagen with a junction to the A 45 . The next regional train stations are in Lüdenscheid, Werdohl and Plettenberg. The Plettenberg-Hüinghausen airfield is located a few kilometers to the northeast.

In the immediate vicinity some run, some of the Sauerland Mountain Club marked and supervised hiking trails such as the Robert-Kolb-way or from Märkischer Kreis erected nature trail on the North Light.

There is a hotel restaurant and a fire station for the fire fighting group of the Herscheid volunteer fire brigade. About a kilometer south is at the foot of Nordhelle directly at Weiler thumb as single vineyard , the school hostel "stuccoes".
