Robert-Kolb-Weg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Robert-Kolb-Weg is a main hiking trail in the association area of the Sauerland Mountain Association and, like all the other main hiking trails, has the white St. Andrew's cross X as a sign , extended by the number 6 at intersections.

It begins in the Hagen district of Eilpe and leads via Rummenohl , Schalksmühle , Bruges , the Nordhelle , Attendorn , the Hohe Bracht , the Kahler Asten and Medelon to Hessenstein Castle in Hesse . Until 2017 the route led to Bad Wildungen , but this section is no longer being maintained.

On the way, three promising mountains in the Sauerland are crossed with the Nordhelle, the Hohe Bracht and the Kahler Asten . The path was named after Robert Kolb , who was the SGV's main road operator at the beginning of the 20th century and who created the basics of the SGV's hiking trail network that still exists today.

From the Hohen Bracht to Ederbringhausen , the German Unity hiking trail runs for around 80 km on the Robert-Kolb-Weg.
