Klaus Servene (born February 26, 1949 in Marburg ) is a German editor and writer who lives in Hamburg .

Life

Klaus Servene completed his Abitur in 1967 at the State New Language High School in Hermeskeil . He studied German and other philological subjects at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and at the Philipps University in Marburg and completed a business education. After various activities in Hamburg , Westerland and Stendal , he began to write literary in 1995; to process his indirect and direct experiences: with long journeys, near death, illness and hope.

From 1997 to 2017 he lived in Mannheim .

So far, the author has published five novels, numerous short stories, and lyric texts in various anthologies (the latter also in two separate poetry and short prose books).

Sawremennik3 2013

In 2013 his Short Novel Vom Fell was published in full in the literary magazine Sawremennik (Zeitgenosse) published by Vladimir Zarev and Vladimir Minkov in Sofia . The translation by Emilia Draganova was financed by the Förderkreis Deutscher Schriftsteller in Baden-Württemberg e. V. with funds from the Ministry for Science, Research and Art Baden-Württemberg . The editors state that “Fell gives an impressive interior view into unknown dimensions of German life, German provinces, German mentality, in an outstanding and original literary language, full of expressive scenes and images.” After Servene initiated Andiamo Verlag in 2000 , From 2001 he also worked as an editor, as an initiator and co-organizer of various literary competitions, as a juror and as a moderator of literary events. First publications as editor z. E.g. A light above the head by Dimitré Dinev (2000), Zigi over the sea by Zsuzsa Bánk (2008; an excerpt from her as yet unpublished novel The Bright Days ) and The Backpack by Massum Faryar (2008). For several years he supported the work of the Vienna Edition Exil , some literary groups and cultural initiatives, e.g. B. (2001 to 2016) the reading series Europa Morgen Land .

In 2008 he gave the anthology Borders with the city of Mannheim, Sudabeh Mohafez and Dimitré Dinev . Passing out, the book for the 2007 international short story competition of the city of Mannheim (texts by Marica Bodrožić , Irena Brežná , Yadé Kara and many others). 2011, 2012 (with Thomas Frahm ) and 2013 the europabrevier borderless . Topic: Migration and Europe. The Cologne historian Jürgen Nielsen-Sikora dedicated his essay on Europe to Klaus Servene : The end of barbarism. The dedication reads: "Klaus Servene, the tireless European." (Franz Steiner Verlag, Stuttgart 2012)

DimitréDinev & KlausServene

In 2015, an intensive collaboration with actor and director Limeik Topchi developed for the theater stage. In the same year the author gathered his z. Partly unpublished, but above all quite scattered published own "most relevant texts" in a four-volume "writing balance" ("selection of works", see below).
