Friedrich-Wilhelm-Grimme-Weg

The Friedrich-Wilhelm-Grimme-Weg is named after the Sauerland poet Friedrich Wilhelm Grimme, an 84-kilometer hiking trail run by the Sauerland Mountain Association (SGV) and a cultural route set up by the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association.

The main SGV hiking trail leads from Altenhundem through the Saalhauser Berge to Schmallenberg and from there via Nordenau , the Kahler Asten , Siedlinghausen and Grimmes birthplace Assinghausen to Olsberg .

The hiking trail falls into the category of the main hiking trails of the SGV and, like all other main hiking trails, has the white St. Andrew's cross X as a sign , extended by the number 27 at intersections.

Cultural route

The cultural route of the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe leads from Arnsberg to Brilon , but also includes places next to this route. Twelve stations with sights that are related to Friedrich Wilhelm Grimme or other poets like Annette von Droste-Hülshoff are given.
