Sieghöhenweg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sieghöhenweg was a 141-kilometer hiking trail run by the Sauerland Mountain Association (SGV).

It led from the Siegquelle near Großenbach via Freusburg , Schladern , Altwindeck and Bourauel to Mondorf . The hiking trail ran from the source of the river to where the Sieg flows into the Rhine .

The hiking trail fell into the category of the main hiking trails of the SGV and, like all other main hiking trails, had the white St. Andrew's cross X as a signpost , extended by the letter S at intersections.

With the new Natursteig Sieg , this path has been upgraded as a quality path according to the criteria of the Association of German Mountain and Hiking Associations and will therefore be omitted in the future.
