Reich Railway Directorate Nuremberg
The Reichsbahndirektion Nürnberg was an administrative district of the Deutsche Reichsbahn .
The area of this Reichsbahndirektion extended over the Bavarian administrative districts Middle Franconia and Lower Franconia (thus also the area of the former Reichsbahndirektion Würzburg ) as well as outskirts of the Upper Palatinate and Bavarian Swabia .
Significant routes within the management were:
- the route Aschaffenburg - Würzburg - Nuremberg - Neumarkt (Upper Palatinate) - ( Regensburg )
- the route ( Halle / Leipzig ) - Ludwigsstadt - Bamberg - Nuremberg - ( Treuchtlingen ) - ( Augsburg / Ingolstadt - Munich )
- the route Würzburg - Ansbach - (Treuchtlingen) - (Augsburg / Ingolstadt - Munich)
- the route ( Erfurt ) - Ritschenhausen - Schweinfurt - Würzburg - ( Heilbronn - Stuttgart )
In 1949, after the establishment of the German Federal Railroad , it was succeeded by the Nuremberg Federal Railway Directorate .
