The Reichstag constituency Pfalz (Bavaria) 3 was a constituency for the Reichstag elections in the German Empire from 1868 to 1918.
General
The Reichstag constituency Palatinate (Bavaria) 3 (also called Reichstag constituency Bergzabern-Germersheim) comprised the cities of Germersheim and Bergzabern as well as the surrounding district offices . The constituency had an area of 934.70 square kilometers and in 1871 90,504 inhabitants (96.80 inhabitants / km²). In 1910 the population was 96,288 (103.01 inhabitants / km²). Confessionally, the proportion of Catholics was higher than that of Protestants. In 1871 (1910) the proportion of Catholics was 55.1% (56.9%) and that of Protestants 42.4% (41.9%). The constituency was rural. 71.2% of the population lived in places with fewer than 2000 inhabitants.
