Theodor Brünings (born April 20, 1839 in Frankenthal (Pfalz) ; † August 6, 1903 in Herrenalb ) was a German judge and member of the Reichstag in the Kingdom of Bavaria.

Life

Brünings attended high school at the Kaiserdom in Speyer . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the Julius Maximilians University . In 1858 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Würzburg . He distinguished himself twice as consenior and three times as senior . He passed the state examination in 1864 and entered the judiciary in 1869. From 1871 to 1875 he was an assessor in Landau in the Palatinate and Kaiserslautern . Since 1876 district judge at the royal district court in Landau, he was appointed higher regional judge there in 1890/91. In 1900 he retired.

Since 1879 he was a member of the city council. From 1881 until his death he represented the constituency of Neustadt an der Haardt in the Chamber of Deputies (Bavaria) . From 1884 to 1898 he was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency Pfalz 3, Germersheim , Bergzabern and the National Liberal Party . He died at the age of 64.
