Reinhard Pfundt

Reinhard Pfundt (* 1951 in Burgstädt ) is a German composer .

Life

Reinhard Pfundt received his first composition lessons from Paul Kurzbach in Chemnitz (then Karl-Marx-Stadt) from 1967 to 1969 . From 1969 to 1975 he studied composition and piano at the Leipzig University of Music, with Wilhelm Weismann , Siegfried Thiele and Fritz Geißler , among others . Then he was a master student of Siegfried Matthus at the Berlin Academy of the Arts. From 1987 to 1992, Pfundt was senior assistant and lecturer, from 1992 until his retirement in 2016 he was professor for composition and composition at the University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig .
