Reinhart Zimmermann

Reinhart Zimmermann (born March 1, 1936 in Erfurt ; † July 11, 2011 in Berlin ) was a German set designer and head of equipment at the Komische Oper Berlin .

Reinhart Zimmermann first completed an apprenticeship as an advertising designer and theater painter in Erfurt. He started at the Landestheater Halle in 1954 as a set design assistant. He then moved to the Komische Oper Berlin as Rudolf Heinrich's assistant , where he had worked as a stage designer from 1961 and as head of equipment from 1963.

His best-known works include the following equipment:

Reinhart Zimmermann played a key role in the productions by Felsenstein, Friedrich, Herz, Kupfer and Christine Mielitz .

In addition to his work for Berlin, he designed as a guest set designer for the opera houses in Amsterdam , Cardiff , Dresden , Copenhagen , Leipzig , London , Moscow , Munich , Paris , San Francisco , Stockholm , Vancouver , Vienna and Zurich .
