action

The scientist Professor Liebrich has developed a heliolaser that can concentrate sunlight and thus destroy entire stretches of land. He tests the “death ray” on a remote island that burns up in no time. After the successful test, Liebrich realizes that his employees are playing wrong under the guidance of his assistant Kosky. They threaten him and he can destroy the generator of the heliolaser at the last second before he is seriously injured and faints. Kosky wanted to sell the laser to the Chinese, but the invention is worthless without the generator. The formula to restore the generator is hidden in a Rembrandt painting by the professor. Kosky has the professor's villa in Rio de Janeiro searched for paintings and, at the end, places a bomb in the house, the explosion of which is intended, among other things, to erase the traces of a tortured and killed confidante. CIA agent Mark Donen appears at the house to investigate the situation. The CIA had long since shadowed Professor Liebrich. Donen, who works under the code name "R 7", discovers the bomb in the house, but is interrupted shortly afterwards by the Chinese under the direction of Agent Seyna. He found a locker key on the professor's trusted confidante, which he gave Seyna for $ 20,000. The correct painting is in the locker. Donen goes to Málaga with the Chinese whom he has been able to convince of his willingness to cooperate. At the airport, he and the Chinese manage to kidnap Professor Liebrich, who is being transported in another plane, and bring him to Albania .

Donen realizes that the supposed professor is a doppelganger who is actually supposed to steal the right painting for Kosky. While the Chinese continue traveling with the wrong professor, Donen has to be ready for them in Venice . Here he meets secretly with the agent Irene, whom he keeps up to date on the current situation. Like him, she flies to Beijing, where she meets with CIA agent Diego Oropessa. A little later in Spain, Donen succeeds in finding Claudine Pierre, who was captured by Kosky's men, through his mistaken acquaintance. He found out that Kosky may be living on a yacht that originated in Tangier . Donen goes to Tangier.

Meanwhile, the Chinese try to use hypnosis to elicit clues about the formula from the professor, but the wrong Liebrich is talking confusedly. In fact, shortly afterwards, the doppelganger succeeds in taking the Rembrandt. He gets lost in a freezer and passes out. Diego Oropessa takes over the fake professor from the Chinese and notices that he has hidden Rembrandt under his clothes. With Irene and the impotent false professor, Diego manages to escape, which Kosky does not remain hidden. In Tangier, Donen meets the agent Consuela, who has since followed Kosky's lead. She turns the heads of the men in the harbor so that Donen can get onto Kosky's yacht unnoticed. He also notices that shortly afterwards Diego and Irene are taken on board as prisoners. Donen is able to overwhelm the crew and meets Pierre, who distrusts him, but lets himself be bribed and takes over the helm. Donen learns from Diego and Irene that they both managed to escape to Macau with Liebrich's doppelganger da Silva , but that they were arrested there by Kosky's men. Da Silva died shortly afterwards and the Rembrandt fell into Kosky's hands. He can make the hidden formula visible on the painting, but is interrupted by Donen shortly afterwards. There is an exchange of fire and Kosky flees. Donen is following his heels with Diego and Irene. The escape ends at Kosky's yacht. After another exchange of fire, Kosky's team surrendered and Donen went on board with Pierre. They discover that Kosky is among them in a submarine. They punch a hole in the submarine wall and Kosky appears with Liebrich and a henchman. The escape in a boat ends soon. Kosky is stabbed to death and the seriously injured Liebrich also dies. With him the knowledge of the death ray also died. Diego, Irene, Donen and Consuela's job is done, and Consuela's job brought even more: you and Pierre become a couple.
