René Bielke (born April 9, 1962 in Prenzlau ) is a former German ice hockey goalkeeper and today's coach . Between 2006 and 2012 he was the head coach of the women's team at OSC Berlin , with which he was three times German champion and twice cup winners. Since 2012 he has been in charge of the DNL team and the U20 team of the Eisbären Juniors as an assistant coach and most recently as a team manager. His son Dominik Bielke was also a hockey player.

Player career

René Bielke began his career in 1982 as an ice hockey player at SC Dynamo Berlin , with whom he was GDR champion six times by 1988 . In the 1990/91 season , the goalkeeper stood between the posts in the ice hockey Bundesliga club, which had since been renamed EHC Dynamo Berlin . With this he achieved immediate promotion to the Bundesliga in the following season, but then left the club and played for the Bundesliga club EC Ratingen for a year . From 1993 to 1996 he played at Krefelder EV - from 1995 Krefeld Pinguine - first in the Bundesliga and from the 1994/95 season in the newly founded German Ice Hockey League . Then there are still known seasons of him at Berliner SC in the 2nd division North 1996/97 , at ESC Dresden in the 2000/01 season, in whose team he was in the promotion round to Regionalliga Süd , and - after a break of several years - with the Eisbären Juniors Berlin , where he helped out in the Oberliga Nord in the 2004/05 season against BSchC Prussia . His average of 1.17 goals conceded per game from 1982 is still the existing record in Hohenschönhausen. Likewise the fact that at 19 years and 6 months he was the youngest goalkeeper with a win in the history of the club.

His jersey hangs in his honor in the corrugated iron palace under the hall ceiling. In 2001 he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame Germany .

International

For the GDR , Bielke took part in the B world championships in 1982 and 1990 and the A world championships in 1983 and 1985 . He played a total of 125 internationals for the GDR and a total of twelve internationals for the German national team . For Germany he took part in the A-World Cup in 1992 .

Coaching career

As a trainer, he was responsible for the junior school team at Eisbären Juniors Berlin in 2004/05. From August 2006 he trained very successfully the women's team "Eisladies" of the OSC Berlin . With this he became German champion in 2007, 2009 and 2010 and led the team to the runner-up in 2008 and 2011. In 2008, 2009 and 2011 Bielke won the DEB Cup as a trainer with the ice ladies of the OSC Berlin .
