René Steinke

René Dan Steinke (born November 16, 1963 in East Berlin ) is a German actor .

Life

After graduating from school, Steinke trained as a communications engineer . In 1986 he played a leading role for the first time in the film Interrogation of the Witnesses . In 1989 he was accepted at the Ernst Busch drama school and finished his training in 1993. Steinke received a firm offer at the Berliner Volksbühne , where he played various leading roles.

In 1999, Steinke took on the role of Chief Detective Inspector (KHK) Tom Kranich in the German television series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei, produced by RTL , and was replaced in 2003 by Christian Oliver as KK Jan Richter . In March 2005 Steinke returned to the action series and announced his final exit in January 2006. Tom Kranich is shot dead in Steinke's last episode. Steinke's last day of shooting Alarm for Cobra 11 was on February 8, 2006. His direct successor in the series was Gedeon Burkhard (2007-2008).
