Renate Kohn (* 1947 in Bad Schwalbach ) is a German actress .

Life

After studying acting, Renate Kohn played in various German theaters. From 1971 she starred in television films and series, first in the Hessian television series Our Village , later (among others) in Hessian Stories , Class Reunions , The Country Doctor , Coast Guard , Polizeiruf 110 , Die Kommissarin or bei Tatort .

From 1984 to 2008 (episodes 24-257) she was familiar to a wide audience as clerk Helga Sommer in the ZDF crime series Ein Fall für Zwei . In October 2008, it was announced by ZDF that the character Helga Sommer would no longer be represented in the series and would be retired. According to the broadcaster, they wanted to bring a breath of fresh air into the format. Caroline Grothgar took the place of Renate Kohn . This was in front of the camera for Ein Fall für Zwei from February 2008 until the series was discontinued in 2013 and was seen on TV for the first time on December 5th.

In addition to her film roles, Renate Kohn often works as a radio play speaker and as a voice actress in TV reports and documentaries. She especially likes to do readings and recitations, for which she and the musician Gert Zimanowski have found her own way of combining literature with specially composed music.
