Renate rule
Renate Regel (* 1976 in Hildesheim , according to other sources 1979) is a German actress .
Life
Renate Regel, born and raised in Hildesheim, received her acting training from 1995 to 1999 at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna after graduating from high school . She then worked as a freelance actress.
She had permanent theater engagements in Berlin at the Schillertheater and in Wuppertal . From 2006 to 2009 she was engaged at the Theaterhaus Jena , where she worked with Alice Buddeberg , Markus Heinzelmann , Linda Best and Bettina Bruinier . In the Gorki drama Children of the Sun , she played Jelena in Heinzelmann's production. In 2008 she made her first guest appearance at the Schwäbisch Hall open-air theater . In the 2010/11 season she was engaged at the Landestheater Detmold . There she appeared as head sister Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and as Princess Natalie in the Kleist drama Prince Friedrich von Homburg .
She had further engagements at the Schauspiel Frankfurt , in Hamburg and at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt .
From 2011 to 2016 she could be seen every year at the open-air theater Schwäbisch Hall. a. as governess Charlotta Ivanovna in Der Kirschgarten (2011) and as Marion in Dantons Tod (2013). In 2016 she made a guest appearance at the Societätstheater Dresden . In 2019, Regel played at the “Schaubühne Lindenfels” (Leipzig) in the scenic reading Schloss an der Loire (director: Eberhard Köhler).
Since the late 1990s, Regel has been in front of the camera for film and television productions. She worked there u. a. with the directors Rolf Liccini , Raymond Ley , Thomas Herrmann and Christian von Castelberg .
In the TV docudrama My Daughter Anne Frank (2015), she impersonated, alongside Götz Schubert as Otto Frank , the young Miep Gies , who helped Anne Frank and her family to go into hiding in Amsterdam during the Second World War . She also took on several episode roles in German TV series and crime series such as Polizeiruf 110 and Tatort .
Regel is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS) and lives in Berlin.
