The crane driver controls the two devices with a remote control outside the crane driver's cab. The cranes do not move on crane rails, but can be used flexibly in the port thanks to the rubber tires. The port area and the quay are also designed for heavy cargo handling. A terminal area of 22,000 m² and a pre-storage area of 15,000 m² are available for handling. The entire port facility can be loaded with up to 90 t / m².
The Rendsburg Port is connected to an intermunicipal industrial area via a heavy-duty and crossing-free road. This area has a total area of 500,000 m² near the port.
