Richard Ryan Graves (born March 20, 1954 in Greenwich , London , † May 12, 2009 in Hamburg ), known by his stage names Frank Ryan and Frank Ryan Graves , was a British singer, keyboardist , composer and producer .

Life

At the age of 18 Richard Ryan Graves was brought by Elton John to his label Rocket Records . From 1973 to 1979 he worked as a singer, keyboard player, arranger and songwriter for Elton John's label. He met Gus Dudgeon , the producer of Elton John and singers like David Bowie and Chris Rea, and became his assistant. As a keyboard player, he accompanied the tours and was also on tour with Voyager . He worked with Kevin Ayers , Kiki Dee and Audience .

In the early 1980s, he moved to Hamburg and lived with his family in Klein Borstel . Here he produced in the studio with Udo Lindenberg , worked with Matthias Reim and worked as a singing teacher and voice coach. He later taught singing at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater for six years .
