Richard von Bötticher

Richard von Bötticher (born June 30, 1855 in Buckau (Magdeburg) , † April 5, 1934 in Magdeburg ) was a German administrative lawyer .

Life

As the son of Magdeburg's mayor Friedrich Bötticher , Richard Bötticher attended the local education department of the Our Dear Women Monastery . After graduating from high school (1875), he studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . In 1876 he became active in the Corps Suevia Tübingen . In 1879 he passed the trainee examination. In 1881 he joined the administration and in 1885 he became a government assessor. In the three emperor's year he was acting district administrator of the Querfurt district and thus successor to Eberhard Freiherrn von der Recke. He finally took over the office in 1889 and held it until 1903. From May 1903 he was district administrator in the Saarbrücken district . In January 1909 he was appointed district president in the Osnabrück district.

When he was adopted into retirement in 1917, Wilhelm II ennobled him as King of Prussia.
