Franz Karl Rennen (born February 25, 1818 in Obercassel near Bonn ; † January 10, 1897 in Cologne ) was a Prussian civil servant, district administrator and railway director.

Life

After completing his law studies, the son of the royal notary race worked for seven years as a trainee lawyer and regional court assessor at the royal district court in Cologne . In February 1848 he became legal advisor to the railway committee for the construction of the Saarbrücken railway. In May 1848 he became provisional district administrator in Saarbrücken , on December 3, 1850 he was appointed to the royal district administrator of Saarbrücken. From 1856, Rennen was special director of the Rheinische Eisenbahngesellschaft in Cologne. After the transition of the Rheinische Eisenbahngesellschaft into state administration, on April 1, 1880, Rennen became President of the Royal Railway Directorate in Cologne .

On April 1, 1895, Rennen retired from service and died on January 10, 1897 in Cologne.
