Robelis Despaigne Sauquet (born August 9, 1988 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban Taekwondoin who is active in the heavyweight division.

Despaigne has been taking part in international championships since 2009. At the World Cup in Copenhagen , he made it to the quarter-finals and narrowly missed a medal after a loss to Daba Modibo Keïta . The year 2011 was a successful one. At the Universiade in Shenzhen he won the bronze medal in the heavyweight over 87 kilograms and the gold medal at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara and thus his greatest sporting success to date. At the American Olympic qualification tournament in Santiago de Querétaro , Despaigne won the over 80 kilogram final against François Coulombe-Fortier and qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There he won the bronze medal after his opponent Daba Modibo Keïta failed to fight.

In November 2014, he won the gold medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico .
