Robert Eibel

Robert Eibel (born June 7, 1906 in Vevey ; † May 26, 1986 in Zurich ) was a Swiss PR expert and politician ( FDP ).

Life

Eibel, the son of a music dealer, spent his childhood in Strasbourg , studied law at the University of Zurich and received his doctorate in 1931. During the Second World War he was head of General Henri Guisan's personal staff secretariat . He was one of the initiators of the Gotthard Association .

In 1947 he opened his own PR office, which organized advertising campaigns as well as political campaigns on behalf of companies. From 1963 to 1975 he was a member of the National Council . Eibel was a radical economic liberal .

His estate is in the Archives for Contemporary History at ETH Zurich .
