Robert Lillinger

Robert Lillinger (* 1990 in Lübben ) is a German conductor , pianist and composer .

Lillinger is the brother of the drummer and composer Christian Lillinger and grew up in the village of Kuschkow .

Lillinger first studied piano at the Lausitz University of Applied Sciences . In 2009 he then moved to Vienna to the University of Music and Performing Arts . He has worked with numerous ensembles in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, including the Brandenburg State Orchestra , the Brandenburg Chamber Orchestra Cottbus (2006), the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Cottbus State Theater , the Philharmonic Orchestra Zielona Góra , the Orchester de Saint Pierre-Fusterie de la Suisse from Geneva, the Central German Chamber Philharmonic , the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra , the Vienna Operetta Summer and the Teatro barocco.

Lillinger worked as a piano accompanist, répétiteur and director of studies at the Brandenburg Opera Academy, the competition for the opera festival of the Rheinsberg Chamber Opera , the Vienna Operetta Summer , the Autumn Festival for the Blind , the Klosterneuburg Opera and the Tyrolean Festival Erl . He completed masterclasses in song accompaniment with Irwin Gage and Walter Moore and has been a pianist in Heidi Brunner's masterclasses since 2015 . In addition Lillinger working with singers of the Vienna Volksoper , the stage Baden , the Raimund Theater , the city theater Klagenfurt or the Komische Oper Berlin together.

He now works primarily in the field of historically informed performance practice . Lillinger founded the Lobkowitz Society and is the artistic director of the Festival de la musique baroque française (femubaf).

Lillinger has been a ballet and solo coach with conducting duties at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater in Flensburg since 2018 .

Perception of his work

Lillinger's Piano Concerto No. 1 was premiered in 2006 with him as piano soloist under the direction of General Music Director Christian Simonis of the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie. His septet “Zitronenfalter” premiered in 2009 with soloists from the Central German Chamber Philharmonic under the direction of the composer himself. In 2013, Lillinger reconstructed the operetta Polish Wedding by Joseph Beer for the music publisher Doblinger . For the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn , Lillinger reconstructed André Campra's tragédie lyrique Idoménée .
