Robert Tewsley

Robert Tewsley (* 1972 in Leicester ) is an English ballet dancer .

Robert Tewsley was trained at the Royal Ballet School in London . His first engagement was at the National Ballet of Canada in 1990, where he was named soloist in 1993 and first soloist in 1994. In 1996 he joined the Stuttgart Ballet as first soloist , and in autumn 2002 he became first soloist with the London Royal Ballet . In November 2002 he went to the New York City Ballet as first soloist .

In the meantime, Robert Tewsley is a freelance dancer who makes regular guest appearances all over the world, including New York , London , Stuttgart , Hamburg , Munich , Berlin , Vienna , Rome , Milan , Naples , Toulouse , Birmingham , Copenhagen , Moscow , Saint Petersburg , Toronto , Chicago , Santiago de Chile , Sydney , Tokyo , Taipei , Seoul .

In 2002 he was named Dancer of the Year by the European dance magazine Dance Europe . 2006 created Spuck for Marcia Haydée and him a pas de deux for the film Penelope by Andreas Morell and Christian reject, in cooperation with the German-French TV channel ARTE .
