Robert Vogel (born June 8, 1919 in Hamburg ; † September 18, 2008 , ibid) was a Hamburg entrepreneur , billionaire and politician ( FDP ) and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Vogel was a trained businessman and worked in the housing industry. In 1951 he founded the Anna MM Vogel housing company, one of the companies that would later become Robert Vogel GmbH & Co limited partnership . Robert Vogel managed this company until 2003.

His grave is in the Ohlsdorf cemetery in Hamburg at grid square AA 5 (northwest of Nordteich , beginning of Norderstrasse ).

Vogel joined the FDP in 1963. From 1987 to 1993 he was a member of the Hamburg parliament, where he was active in the 14th electoral term for his parliamentary group in the Committee on Ports, Economics and Agriculture and in the Committee on the Situation and Rights of Foreigners. After Ingo von Münch was elected as the second mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Vogel was elected as his successor as Hamburg FDP regional chairman in a vote against Rainer Funke in 1987 . He held this office until 1993, when he and the entire state executive had to resign after a vote of confidence that had been lost at the state party congress. From 1989 to 1995 Vogel was also a member of the FDP federal executive committee .
