Roberto Carboni (Bishop)
Roberto Carboni OFMConv (born October 12, 1958 in Scano di Montiferro , Oristano , Italy ) is an Italian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Oristano .
Life
Roberto Carboni joined the religious order of Friars Minor at and received on 29 September 1984, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On February 10, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Ales-Terralba . He was ordained episcopate on April 17th of the same year by the Archbishop of Sassari , Paolo Mario Virgilio Atzei OFMConv. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Alghero-Bosa , Mauro Maria Morfino SDB , and his predecessor Giovanni Dettori .
On May 4, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Oristano. The inauguration took place on July 7th of the same year.
