Roland J. Green
Roland James Green (born September 2, 1944 in Bradford , Pennsylvania ) is an American science fiction and fantasy writer.
Life
Green is the son of history professor James Ernest Green and librarian Bertha Mariasha, née Cohen. He attended high school in Ypsilanti , Michigan , and then studied political science at Oberlin College , where he 1966 Bachelor made, and at the University of Chicago , where he received the 1968 Masters completed. He has been working as a freelance writer since 1969. In 1975 he married the writer Frieda A. Murray , with whom he also worked several times.
His first publication was Wandor's Ride (1973), the first volume in a Sword and Sorcery series, of which four volumes were published by 1981. In 1974 he participated in the Richard Blade series, a mixture of science fiction with a lot of fantasy, in which a British secret agent experiences adventures in alien dimensions, including those in which magic works. In this series he wrote a total of 28 novels until 1984. As a result, he wrote in several series and enjoyed working with other authors, including Jerry Pournelle and Gordon R. Dickson .
In addition to his novels, he published a number of short stories.
