Trivia

As early as 1911, when he was just under 12, Roland Straumann was allowed to drive his father's car. After the work was done, it wanted to be picked up. This resulted in trips to Hölstein in the Waldenburgertal or to Langenbruck . Langenbruck required a pass drive over the Upper Hauenstein . The pass height at 734 m. ü. M. had to be climbed via a narrow, unpaved road with a number of serpentines. Roland Straumann is probably the motorist with the longest driving experience. His last drive behind the wheel was in 1994.
