Rolfrafael Schröer

Rolf Rafael Schroer (* 4. December 1928 as Rolf Schröer in Dresden ) is a German writer .

Life

Rolfrafael Schröer spent his childhood in Meißen . He attended a business school and was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1945 . After the end of the Second World War he was imprisoned by the Soviet military in Bautzen prison. After his release he carried out various activities; he completed his training as an engraver and worked as a jewelry designer in Leipzig . In 1952 he moved to the Federal Republic , where he again carried out various activities; u. a. he was educator in Bethel and jewelry designer in Pforzheim . In Düsseldorf Schröer temporarily headed an engraving company , but was also active in studio theaters , in cabaret , as a pantomime and as a lecturer on reading stages . In 1980 he founded the first German literary office in Düsseldorf . From 1989 to 1996 he was managing director of the artist village Schöppingen , which he helped initiate . Since 1997 Schröer, who now lives in Münster , has mainly worked as a reader and reciter .

Rolfrafael Schröer's work consists mainly of poetry , but he also writes prose , dramas and radio plays .

Rolfrafael Schröer is a member of the PEN Center Germany . He received u. a. the following awards: 1974 Prize of North Rhine-Westphalia for Literature , 1978 Villa Massimo scholarship , in 1988 the Order of Merit of North Rhine-Westphalia , in 1993 the Federal Cross of Merit and in 2004 the Trude-Droste administration of the city Dusseldorf .
