Roman Roth

Roman Roth (born July 9, 1980 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actor , radio play and audio book speaker .

Life

Roman Roth grew up near Düsseldorf . There he attended the Görres-Gymnasium . During his school days, he spent a year at East Coweta High School in the state of Georgia, USA. After graduating from high school, Roth completed an apprenticeship as a banker. In addition to this training, Roth also attended courses at the Cologne Theater Academy from 2000 to 2001 . From 2002 to 2005 he took acting lessons from Teresa Harder . In 2004 he also took part in the International Film Actors Training in Los Angeles , USA . From 2006 to 2010 he was a student of performing arts at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum .

From June 2002 to December 2003 Roth starred in the lead role of Tim Böcking on the RTL series Gute Zeiten . In 2004 he cast one of the lead roles in the sitcom Wilde Jungs . The series was not broadcast, however. In 2005 he also played one of the leading roles in the film The Last Train (directed by Joseph Vilsmaier and Dana Vavrova) alongside Sibel Kekilli. For the role of Albert Rosen in The Last Train , he was nominated in 2007 for the Undine Award in the category Best Young Actor in a Feature Film.

From 2010 to 2011 Roman Roth was engaged at the Zimmertheater Tübingen . He has been a freelance actor, radio play, audio book and advertising spokesperson since 2012 and lives in Berlin. Since 2016 he has been a guest at the Munich Volkstheater . There he plays in Christian Stückl's production of Shakespeare's "The Storm". He has also been a guest at Theaterhaus Stuttgart since 2017 .
