Rommersheim (until 1931 Eichloch ) is a district of Wörrstadt in the Alzey-Worms district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
geography
Rommersheim is located in a valley southwest of the core town of Wörrstadt in Rheinhessen . The Rommersheimer Bach rises near the village .
Schimsheim is a direct neighbor of Rommersheim.
history
Eichloch was first mentioned in a document in 824.
Nearby in the Middle Ages was the place Rumersheim, which was mentioned in 1193 and 1273 in exchange or purchase deeds between the Altmünster monastery and members of the noble von Stein family, later mentioned by Lewenstein . Today there is only the Rommersheimer Mühle, named after the village, 150 m northwest of the Alzey – Mainz railway line on the Neuborn stream ; the exact location of the original Rommersheim is not known.
On 15 January 1931, the community was calibration hole under that deserted village in Rommersheim renamed to the dialect pronunciation contingent of residents as " calibration holes to avoid." On November 7, 1970, the previously independent community of Rommersheim with 432 residents at that time was incorporated into Wörrstadt.

A side street leads through the village that connects Wörrstadt with Schimsheim. The two federal highways 271 and 420 are nearby. The federal highways 61 and 63 can be reached via the Gau-Bickelheim and Wörrstadt junctions.
Public facilities
The Neubornschwimmbad, an outdoor pool , is located between Rommersheim and Wörrstadt.
