Royce D. Applegate
Royce D. Applegate , called Roy Applegate (born December 25, 1939 in Danbury , Connecticut , † January 1, 2003 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .
Life
Roy Applegate's best-known role was that of Chief Manilow Crocker in the first season of the Steven Spielberg- produced television series seaQuest DSV .
Applegate also played in Gettysburg (1993) and Gods and Generals the role of the (2003) Major General of the Confederate in the Civil War and later governor of Virginia James L. Kemper .
New Year's Eve of 2003, he died in a fire at his home in Hollywood Hills (district of LA ). He left behind a son named Scott D. Applegate.
