Rubén Peña Jiménez (born July 18, 1991 in Ávila ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

Peña began his career in his hometown at Real Ávila , where he played his way up to the men's team in the Tercera División . In the summer of 2012 he moved to Real Valladolid , where he should play for the B team . On November 1, 2012, he made his professional debut when he was in the starting line-up in the four-round match of the Cup against Betis Sevilla . On November 11, 2012 he finally played for the first time in the Primera División ; He made his debut in the match against FC Valencia .

After four league appearances, he left Valladolid in the summer of 2013 and went to the third division CD Guijuelo . With Guijuelo he failed in the 2013/14 season in the promotion playoff on CD Leganés , who made it to the Segunda División and which Peña also joined for the 2014/15 season.

After Leganés had reached tenth place in his first season, they were able to finish second in the 2015/16 season and thus move up to the Primera División.
