Pedro León Sánchez Gil , Pedro León for short (born November 24, 1986 in Mula , Región de Murcia ), is a Spanish football player who plays in Getafe in the Primera División .

Player career

National

Pedro León began his career at Real Murcia and rose with the club in the 2006/07 season as third in the Segunda División . He then left the promoted team and moved to the Primera División club UD Levante . With his new club he rose at the end of the 2007/08 season in the Segunda División. Then Pedro Léon was signed by the first division club Real Valladolid . For the 2009/10 season he moved to Getafe FC . There he was so convincing that before the start of the 2010/11 season he changed clubs for the fourth time within four years: He signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid . The Royal made his debut in the UEFA Champions League and met on November 3, 2010 compared to AC Milan just before the final whistle to 2: 2 compensation. Ultimately, however, Pedro León did not get beyond the role of supplementary player with the Spanish record champions under coach José Mourinho . For the 2011/12 season , he therefore returned to Getafe on loan. At the end of the season, the loan contract was extended for another year. For the 2013/14 season , Getafe withdrew the contractually agreed purchase option and took Pedro León firmly under contract.
