Rubens Bertogliati (born May 9, 1979 in Lugano ) is a former Swiss cyclist .

Career

Bertogliati became a professional with the Lampre-Daikin cycling team in 2000 and achieved his greatest success as a member of this team by winning a stage at the 2002 Tour de France , with which he also won the yellow jersey and wore two days. In 2004 he moved to the Saunier Duval-Prodir team . As a result, he was three times Swiss champion, once in the hill climb and twice in the individual time trial .

At the end of the 2012 season he ended his career as a professional cyclist. His last two seasons were for Team Type 1 .
