Rubens Sevilha

Rubens Sevilha OCD (born September 29, 1959 in Tarabaí ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Bauru .

Life

Rubens Sevilha joined the Order of the Discalced Carmelites on February 3, 1980, professed on March 24, 1984, and was ordained a priest on October 19, 1985 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 21, 2011 titular bishop of Idassa and auxiliary bishop in Vitória . The episcopal ordination donated to him the Archbishop of Vitória, Luiz Mancilha Vilela SSCC , on March 18 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Gil Antônio Moreira , Archbishop of Juiz de Fora , and Tarcísio Scaramussa SDB , Auxiliary Bishop in São Paulo . As a motto he chose TRANSIVIT BENEFACIENDO .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Bauru on March 28, 2018.
