Rudolf Schubert (pedagogue)

Rudolf Schubert (born October 2, 1866 in Waldheim , † March 9, 1954 in Dresden ) was a German teacher and university teacher .

Life

Rudolf Schubert, who comes from the small town of Waldheim an der Zschopau , has been studying at the teachers' college in Annaberg in the Ore Mountains since 1880 . After graduating, Schubert had been an elementary school teacher in Annaberg since 1886, and in Leipzig since 1887 . 1890 Rudolf Schubert began studying pedagogy and history at the University of Leipzig on there in 1898 his doctorate to Dr. phil.

In 1896 Schubert took over a teaching position at the school for women's professions in Leipzig, and in 1907 he switched to the position of trade teacher at the technical training institutes of the city of Leipzig. Promoted to trade school council in 1921, he later acted as industrial high school councilor in Dresden. In 1925 Rudolf Schubert received an honorary professorship for vocational education and the history of vocational schools at the Technical University of Dresden , which he held until 1934. In addition, from 1927 he held a lectureship in philosophy and propaedeutics at the Chemnitz Business Academy and from 1930 to 1931 a position as senior government councilor at the Saxon Ministry for National Education. His last position was from 1946 to 1949 as a lecturer in state training courses for new teachers and vocational school teachers in Dresden.
