Rudolf Wolf (born October 6, 1971 in Ostrava , Czechoslovakia ) is a former German - Czech ice hockey player .

Career

Rudolf Wolf began his ice hockey career in the Czech Republic with HC Vítkovice , where he made his debut in the first division of Czechoslovakia in the 1990/91 season . He played for Vitkovice until mid-1996, only with a one-year break, which he spent at HC Olomouc . He then moved to the second-class 1st division to HC Havířov and later to HC Prostějov . For the 1998/99 season he returned to Olomouc, but only with moderate success. Therefore, a year later he moved to Germany to ERSC Amberg , who was playing in the Oberliga Süd at the time.

In 2001 , Wolf signed on with the Grizzlies from Wolfsburg and spent three successful years there, culminating in the Bundesliga championship and promotion to the DEL . However, he did not play a role in the squad planning for the DEL, so he switched to the Freiburger Wölfen , where he stayed for two years.

For the 2006/07 season, Wolf moved to the Dresdner Eislöwen . Here he formed the third defender pair with Jörg Wartenberg .

In the summer of 2007 Wolf moved to Poland in the 2nd division for JKH GKS Jastrzębie . In the first year he made it to the Ekstraliga with his new club .

After the 2009/10 season, Wolf ended his active career.
