The rugby Bundesliga 2010/11 was the 40th edition of this competition. In the rugby Bundesliga , nine teams initially played in a round-robin tournament , followed by playoffs in which the four highest placed teams played for the German championship after the regular season. The regular season started on August 28, 2010 and ended on May 14, 2011, followed by the two semi-finals and the championship final on May 28, 2011. This won the Heidelberg RK 9:12 against SC Frankfurt 1880 .

Since the second division of the 2009/2010 season refused promotion to the 1st Bundesliga and ASV Köln withdrew from the current game, only nine teams took part in the 2010/11 season. In addition, Hanover 78 held the class.
First, the teams played in the first half of the season against the eight other teams. The top four qualified for the playoffs, with the first playing against the fourth and the second against the third in the semi-finals. The winners of these two semi-finals were then in the final of the German championship. There was no relegation this season.
