Rumpelstilzchen is a German fairy tale film from 1962. It is based on the Grimm fairy tale Rumpelstilzchen .

action

The original by the Brothers Grimm is only a model here. Rumpelstiltskin is not a bad forest spirit, but a lovable male.

A miller keeps telling lies. One day he boasted that his daughter Rosemarie could spin gold out of straw. The king has them brought to his castle to prove it. In Rosemary's desperation, a male suddenly appears and promises to help her if she gives him her first child. She agrees, and straw is made into gold. The king marries them and they soon have a son. Then Rumpelstiltskin appears and demands of her to keep the promise made.

Rosemarie does not want to surrender her child and receives a three-day delay. During this time she has to say his name, then she can keep the child.

Rosemary listens to everything and on the third day learns a sentence that the goblin is said to have said:

“Today I'll bake, tomorrow I'll brew, the day after tomorrow I'll bring the queen her child. Oh, how good that nobody knows that my name is Rumpelstiltskin. "

production

The film was released on DVD on March 5, 2012.
