history

In 1492 the noble family Rebke (also Repken , Ropke , Röpke ) resided in today's Słajszewo (formerly Slaischow , in the 16th century Slawekow , Kashubian Sławúszewo ). In the 16th century, de Rapkene van Massow and Slaweko had the duty to provide a horse in case of war. The aristocratic Gutsdorf Schlaischow had two farms around 1784, and there were ten cottages and a total of 15 households in the village . One of the two local estates belonged to Christian Ernst von Rekowsky, the former judge and district judge for Lauenburg . His family was still sitting on the manor around 1837. The other estate was owned by Andreas Leonhard (called Koehn) von Jaski (1742 / 43–1813), who was district administrator of the Mohrungen district in East Prussia for the period 1777–1806 since 1769 . Part of the Bebbrowschen lake belonged to the village. Schlaischow was one of the villages on the East Pomeranian Baltic coast between the Leba and Piasnitz rivers , in which Leba-Kashubians were at home and in which, in older times, mostly Kashubian was spoken. Before 1851, Schlaischow had 140 inhabitants.

In 1925 there were three places of residence in the village of Schlaischow:

  • Bebbrow
  • Schlaischow
  • Schlaischower mill

The main place of residence was Schlaischow. A total of 33 residential buildings stood on the 9.2 km² community area. In 1925, 328 inhabitants were counted in the municipality, who were distributed over 51 households.

Before 1945, Schlaischow belonged to the district of Lauenburg i. Pom. in Administrative district Köslin of Pomerania Province .

Towards the end of the Second World War , the region was conquered by the Red Army in the spring of 1945 and then placed under Polish administration together with all of Western Pomerania.

On December 31, 2009 the village had 120 inhabitants.

church

The village population present before 1945 was predominantly Protestant. In 1925 there was a resident of Catholic denomination in the village of Schaischlow . The Protestants of all three districts belonged to the parish Zackenzin. From the first days of the Reformation until at least the 18th century, Schlaischow was parish in the parish of Ossecken.
