Lists on the subject |
The SIG Sauer P225 pistol is a model variant from the SIG-P220 series.
technology
The weapon has no external safety lever. This means that the P6 pistol is ready / fully loaded and always ready to fire. After loading the pistol, if it is not to be used immediately, release the decocking lever on the left. The hammer is brought forward in a controlled manner without the risk of the cartridge igniting because the firing pin is blocked by the internal firing pin safety device. The internal firing pin safety is only deactivated when the trigger tongue is pulled back and has reached a certain point on the trigger path. If the striker is then triggered, the firing pin can now be accelerated forward against the contact pressure of the firing pin spring and ignite the cartridge by striking the primer cap .
When the pistol is decocked, the first shot is fired via the cocked trigger, all others are preloaded. Does it come B. to ignition failure, you can try again using the cocking trigger to ignite the cartridge.
use
The P6 is a service weapon of the German police . It is only a slightly modified variant of the P225. The trigger pull is slightly greater in both trigger modes. The spur of the striking piece (“deformation spur”) is milled out. This serves as an indicator of a blow / fall on the hammer, as this could damage the firing pin and / or the internal fuse.
