The ship is powered by diesel-electric technology . Five Wärtsilä diesel engines are available for power generation. The engines of type 9L26, each with 2,810 kW power drive the ABB generators with a total of 14,000 kW. A Cat emergency diesel with a generator output of around 500 kW is also available. Furthermore, Caterpillar diesel engines with 500 kW output were installed, which in turn drive generators to generate electricity. The propulsion is provided by two Rolls-Royce - azimuth thruster at the stern of the ship. The propeller nacelles each produce 2200 kW. A third propeller pod (1200 kW output), which can be lowered into the hull, is located in the bow area of the ship in addition to two bow thrusters (1500 kW each).
