The Saba Qom FC ( Persian باشگاه فوتبال صبای قم) is an Iranian football club from Qom .
history
The original association was founded as Mohemat Sazi in 1974 in Tehran . In 2002, however, all shares in Saba Battery Co. were sold to a company that reports to the Iranian Ministry of Defense. Due to the good financial situation, the club was able to recruit talented players and move up to the IPL after just two years . After winning the national cup in the 2004/2005 season, the club took part in the AFC Champions League for the first time, but did not make it beyond the group stage.
In the 2007/2008 season, the club finished third in the table. Saba Battery moved from Tehran to Qom before the start of the 2008/2009 season.
