Sadullah Acele (born July 11, 1954 in Çubuk ) is a former Turkish football player and coach. Because of his many years of work for Göztepe Izmir , he is associated with this association. Especially because of his performances in the 1977/78 season , fans and clubs see him as one of the most important players in the club's history. During the season mentioned, he formed a very successful storm trio with İrfan Ertürk (right winger) and Doğan Küçükduru (left winger). This trio contributed to the fact that the club set the new goal record for a team in the second division with 67 goals. The storm trio Doğan-Sadullah-İrfan was so successful that the fans started singing the rhyme Doğan, İrfan, ortala, bombala Sado bombala! (analogous to German: Doğan and İrfan crosses in and Sado (Sadullah) shoots him in! ) composed for them and still sings it at home games today. During his playing days he was also known by the nicknames Imparator or Sado .

Player career

society

Acele started his football career in 1970 at Çubukspor , the then amateur club and most successful sports club in his hometown Çubuk. With this club he played in the amateur leagues of Ankara Province , which Çubuk was assigned. Here he reached with his team in the 1972/73 season only the championship of the 3rd Amatoer Küme Ankara and thus promotion to the 2nd Amatoer Küme Ankara and one season later the championship of the 2nd Amatoer Küme Ankara and thus promotion to the 1. Amatör Küme Ankara . During this time, Acele made a name for himself as the most important performer of his team and recommended himself to the Turkish professional clubs.

Finally, he moved to the first division Boluspor in the summer of 1974 . In the previous season, in the 1973/74 season , this club played for a long time for the championship, ended the season in third place in the table and thus achieved the best first division placement that is still valid today. At this club he established himself despite his young age as a service provider and was the top goalscorer of his club with 7 goals together with Rıdvan Ertan in the first season . In the next season he could not repeat this debut and ended the season with only 3 goals in 31 games.

After he had ended the 1976/77 season at Boluspor with only six competitive appearances without scoring, he moved to Aegean club Göztepe Izmir in the summer of 1977 . This club was relegated to the second highest Turkish league, the 2nd league, for the first time in its club history in the summer of 1977. In order to ensure immediate resurgence, a powerful squad was put together. At the end of the 1977/78 season they achieved the second division championship and thus direct promotion to the first league due to the significantly better goal difference compared to second in the table Rizespor . Acele, on the left wing position , formed a very successful storm trio with İrfan Ertürk ( right wing ) and Doğan Küçükduru (left wing). They were supported by playmaker Ali Çağlar . The team set a new league record with 67 league goals as the team that scored the most goals in a season. Most of these hits were scored by the aforementioned team of four. Ali Çağlar was even the top scorer in the league with 17 goals together with Raşit Çetiner from Kocaelispor . The storm trio Doğan-Sadullah-İrfan was so successful that over the course of the season the fans chanted the rhyme Doğan, İrfan, ortala, bombala Sado bombala! (analogous to German: Doğan and İrfan crosses in and Sado (short form of Sadullah) shoots him in! ) composed for them and still sings it at home games today. Acele was promoted to the 1st Lig and established himself as a successful scorer in this league. So he ended the two seasons 1978/79 and 1979/80 with 9 goals each, making him the most successful goal scorer of his team and one of the most successful in the league. These achievements led to the fact that he only became a Turkish U-21A national player in the 1978/79 season and finally became a Turkish senior national player in the 1979/80 season. After two first division years, Göztepe rose again to the second division. Thereupon Acele remained loyal to his club despite offers and went with it into the 2nd league. Here he and his team reached the second division championship again in the first second division season, the 1980/81 , and thus direct promotion to the 1st league.

Promoted to the 1st Lig, Goztepe missed relegation in the first season and rose again in the 2nd Lig in the summer of 1983. Acele left Göztepe with relegation this time and was instead committed by Beşiktaş Istanbul . With this club he won the pre-season Akıl Hastaları Vakfı Turnuvası . In the league and in the cup, he could not prevail against the other offensive players such as Necdet Ergün , Ali Kemal Denizci , Bora Öztürk , Ziya Doğan . After the disappointing season at Beşiktaş, he returned to Göztepe after just one season.

For Göztepe he played in the 2nd Lig until the summer of 1990 and then returned to his home club Çubukspor. At Çubukspor, which in the meantime in the Türkiye 3rd Futbol Ligi , the third highest Turkish league, participated in the competition he played until the summer of 1993 and then ended his career.

National team

Aceles career in the national team began in 1978 with a use for the Turkish U-21 national team . Just one year later, he was nominated for the first time for the squad of the Turkish national team in a qualifying match for the 1980 European Championship against the Welsh national team by coach Sabri Kiraz and made his international debut in this match.

Overall, he completed one U-21 and four A internationals.

Coaching career

Acele started working as a coach a year after starting his football career. He obtained his trainer license in the fall of 1990 following a trainer seminar. His first activity was the DHMİ SK association . Then he began to look after his hometown club Çubukspor and worked for this in the period 1996-2005 as head coach.

In the 2005/06 season he worked for a short time as the head coach of Göztepe Izmir and was in charge of his hometown club Çubukspor again from 2006–2011 .

After working as a junior coach at Ankara Adliyespor in the 2011/12 season , he started working for this club as head coach from summer 2012. At the end of the season he led the club to the championship of the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig , the highest Turkish amateur league, and thus to promotion to the TFF 3rd Lig , the fourth highest Turkish professional league. In the 3rd Lig he was in charge of this club until October 2013. From June 2014 to April 2015 he worked again as head coach at Adliyespor.
