Safjany ( Ukrainian Саф'яни ; Russian Сафьяны , Romanian Sofian-Trubaiovca ) is a village in Budschak in the extreme southwest of Ukraine with about 3000 inhabitants (2006).

The village, founded in 1790, is located on the lake of the same name in Ismajil Rajon in Odessa Oblast and is the only village in the district council of the same name . Past the village leading highway M 15 . The city of Ismajil is 4 km southwest of the village.

The village is the birthplace of Oleksiy Poroshenko , hero of Ukraine , businessman and father of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko .
