Sakaiminato ( Japanese 境 港市 , - shi ) is a city in Tottori Prefecture in Japan .

Sakaiminato is located at the northern end of the Yumigahama Peninsula , a headland that separates the Sea of Japan and Lake Nakaumi .

Attractions
Sakaiminato is the birthplace of the well-known manga artist Shigeru Mizuki . In his honor a street was built in which bronze statues of his figures are exhibited.
