society
Zizzo started playing soccer with the UCLA Bruins . Between 2006 and 2007 he played 13 games in which he scored 5 goals for Orange County Blue Star in the USL Premier Development League , the fourth-highest division in the United States. His contract with Hanover expired in 2010, after which he moved back to the United States and joined the CD Chivas USA .
In his first season in Major League Soccer, he completed ten games for the Chivas. On February 15, 2011, he moved to the Portland Timbers . There he stayed for the next three years and played 60 league games.
On December 13, 2013, he was passed on to Sporting Kansas City for a transfer fee . After one season, he took part in the MLS Expansion Draft for the new New York City FC franchise on December 10, 2014 .
